Fiber Laser Cutting Machines

High-power fiber laser cutters for sheet metal, tube and combined sheet-and-tube processing.

How a fiber laser cuts sheet and tube

A fiber laser cutting machine focuses a fiber beam through a cutting head so the metal melts or vaporizes along a CNC path. Assist gas (oxygen, nitrogen or air) clears the kerf. Nesting software lays out parts on the sheet or indexes a tube in rotary chucks.

Typical work is carbon steel, stainless, aluminium, brass and copper for fabrication shops, furniture hardware, frames, signage and pipe work. Power is sized to thickness; a 3015 (3000 × 1500 mm) bed is the usual sheet format.

Production cells commonly use an auto-focus head with height sensing, a fiber source matched to the thickest plate, servo-driven gantry, and an industrial CNC. Tube machines add rotary chucks and seam detection. Voltage follows the plant (typically 380 V three-phase).

Flat plate starts on sheet metal fiber lasers. Round and square tube use tube fiber lasers. Mixed shops often run a sheet-and-tube laser; fine parts and tight floors a precision fiber laser.

How a sheet fiber laser cuts a plate

A sheet-metal fiber laser cutting machine nests parts on a flat bed (commonly 3015) and cuts carbon steel, stainless and aluminium with an auto-focus head and assist gas. Power is sized to thickness.

Round and square tube use a tube fiber laser.

IMFL-S3015

IMFL-S3015

  • Working Area 3000 × 1500 mm
  • Laser Power 1500 - 12000 W

IMFL-S3015 is a 3015 (3000×1500) sheet-metal fiber laser for plate and flat sheet — not a tube machine.

How a tube fiber laser cuts pipe

A tube fiber laser cutting machine holds round, square and profile tube in rotary chucks, then cuts and notches along the length. Seam detection and servo chucks are common on production cells.

Flat plate stays on the sheet metal fiber laser.

IMFL-T3015

IMFL-T3015

  • Working Area 3000 × 1500 mm
  • Laser Power 1500 - 12000 W

IMFL-T3015 is our tube fiber laser for round and square pipe — rotary chucks, not a flat sheet bed.

How a combo fiber laser runs sheet and tube

A sheet-and-tube fiber laser cutting machine has a plate bed and rotary chucks on one platform so mixed fabrication shops cut both in the same cell. Source power and 3015-class bed follow the sheet work; chucks follow the tube range.

Dedicated plate-only or tube-only shops use a sheet or tube machine.

IMFL-ST3015

IMFL-ST3015

  • Working Area 3000 × 1500 mm
  • Laser Power 1500 - 12000 W

IMFL-ST3015 is the combo fiber laser for shops that cut both sheet and tube on one platform.

How a precision fiber laser cuts small parts

A precision fiber laser cutting machine uses a small-format bed and a fine kerf for small metal parts, fixtures and tight floors. Source power is sized to thin sheet and detail work.

Full 3015 sheets use the sheet metal fiber laser.

IMFL-P3015

IMFL-P3015

  • Working Area 3000 × 1500 mm
  • Laser Power 1500 - 12000 W

IMFL-P3015 is a small-format precision fiber laser for fine metal parts — not a full 3015 plate bed.

What are you looking for?

Before purchasing a CNC or woodworking machine, defining your core production goals is essential. Are you launching a new workshop or expanding an industrial factory? What materials will you process—wood, composite panels, acrylic, or metal? Is your primary focus nesting, carving, edge banding, or laser cutting? Once your application and budget are defined, selecting the right machine becomes straightforward. IndexMACH provides complete support—including machine specifications, application demos, pricing, and software documentation. Fiber Laser Cutting Machines

What fiber lasers cut

Fiber lasers cut carbon steel, stainless, aluminium, brass and copper with a narrow kerf and little heat distortion — they are metal-cutting machines, not wood CNC routers. Flat plate work starts on a sheet metal fiber laser; round and square tube on a tube fiber laser. Mixed shops often run a sheet-and-tube machine; fine parts or tight floors use a precision fiber laser.

After cutting

Cut parts are often marked next on a laser marking machine for serials and logos. Furniture hardware and frames cut here feed cabinet and panel furniture or metal fabrication cells.

Fiber Laser Cutting Machines Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions

What materials and thicknesses can a fiber laser cut?

Fiber lasers cut carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper. The thickness range depends on laser power — tell us your materials and typical thickness and we will recommend the right source.
